• Always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Wipe the Sage Green, stainless-steel and aluminium exterior surfaces using a soft, slightly damp cloth before drying thoroughly.
• Remove and empty the crumb tray regularly to prevent excessive crumb build-up.
• Ensure the crumb tray is completely dry before returning it to the toaster.
• Never insert knives, forks or other metal utensils into the toaster slots.
• Never immerse the toaster, mains lead or plug in water or other liquids.
• Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and scouring pads that could scratch the stainless steel or damage the Sage Green finish.

This toasts fairly evenly, it’s perfect for normal sliced bread and crumpets. I’ve toasted bagels but found they got stuck if they were a bit on the larger size. Looks good in the kitchen so doesn’t need to be put away in valuable cupboard space.

Never known a toaster to toast bread so quickly.Surprised the hotels abroad don't use them they are SO FAST.
These things are solid... it's just classic old school manufacturing that doesn't break. It's one of those products that you put in your will to leave to your favourite child :) It lasts that long... my last one still worked fine (22 years old), but it was only three slot and quite frankly needed a good scrub down. It now has a new home and will likely last another generation. Longevity costs, but it's worth it.
Ours is 22 years old and still works like new. Who needs all those gizmos. On/off button, timer and up and down lever. Perfect.

Basic, easy to use and repairable
I’ve just replaced the elements for the first time in over 20 years. This is a fantastic for-ever product. Beautifully built with high quality components. Or alternatively you can spend 25% of the cost on some Chinese junk and replace it every 2-3 years. Throwing the broken one into landfill.
What can I say? It comes with a piece of paper that shows who made it… wow! A superb item. Works flawlessly, looks incredible… a British classic renowned the world over. I bought one for my son’s wedding present… I hope they both like toast!

This is the toaster most favoured by the military and small professional kitchens and it is worth every penny of its high price.It looks gorgeous, and fits most bread perfectly. The elements are tightly wound and protected so that you can toast bread in around 2.5 minutes without it drying out, unlike on cheap toasters. You can also choose 2 or 4 slots to save energy, and you can quickly defrost frozen bread. You can also increase the timer during toasting, which you can’t do on cheaper toasters.The best thing of all is that it will literally last for life as every component is replaceable should it break.The price does seem high, until you compare it with the cost of running and replacing a number of cheap toasters over 10 years, so we think it is fully justified.

No frills, no built-in AI asking me how I would like my toast, no electronic screens, just a timer and solidly made toaster with heating elements one can replace. Just the best.

Extremely well made and without all the useless gimmicks that you find on so many household items these days. I love the fact that it is UK made and repairable, unlike so many things these days that are not. It may seem a lot to pay for a toaster but I don’t think I’ll ever have to buy another one! It’s the first toaster I’ve ever had that browns the bread evenly. I love its good old fashioned simplicity. If you don’t want to be in a regular cycle of buying and disposing of toasters, buy this!

Read the instructions inside the box before unpacking as it has vital information re the first time use, i.e. there may be slight smoke and crackling noises - be aware.This is such a sturdy, well grounded toaster and looks fab alongside my matching Dualit polished steel kettle - which I was amazed to find I'd had since October 2021 (I thought I'd had it about 18 months and it still looks new!)Be aware it may remain hot for longer than other toasters you may have used, and the sides can be very hot if you intent moving it away from a permanent location (I kept my previous toaster in the utility room and carried it to the kitchen to use, but this is so lovely I may just leave it on display permanently).My decision to purchase a Dualit toaster was the ability to replace parts and not to purchase another cheaper model ever (I've gone through >7 cheaper toasters over the decades, but no more!) I always wanted a Dualit toaster ever since I worked in the health service in the days where we made patients toast for supper!!Finally, I'd remind and recommend anyone to register your product, it's a seamless and easy step and instructions are provided.
