Pleased with the Dualit classic kettle it boils well easy to fill looks great in my kitchen also bout toaster equally as good would recommend that as well
This kettle looks good and a few interesting features like – repairable heating element, quiet and able to boil small quantities of water.Experience:The quietest kettle that I have ever used. This is particularly convenient as I have an open plan kitchen and living room. Previously, life stopped for the kettle to boil.Boil small quantities of water enough for one mug. This is really convenient as it saves on the electricity as all the boiled water is used.Fast - it takes 45 seconds to boil the water for one mug (or 1 cup from the markings on the kettle).Drip free. No residue of water on the kitchen surface after pouring the boiling water. The handle is comfortable to carry the kettle and whilst pouring the water.Cordless – like all modern kettles.Sustainability. The heating element can be replaced. This is a unique point for a cordless kettle. It can be stiff to open the kettle lid. The lid has to be opened as to fill it with water. Dualit have designed an insulated handle so that it can be opened without having your fingers to touch the hot surface of the kettle. See photos.Would I recommend this kettle: Certainly. I love the design of the kettle. It looks so right for the purpose. This is pure emotion. The features of the kettle are really appropriate and useful.Would I buy this kettle again? Hopefully not as I would repair the heating element.Should I need another kettle, I would buy this model.
I like everything about the Classic Dualit kettle. it's highly polished and compliments our chrome Classic Dualit toaster. It's a work of beauty and fine craftsmanship. It's a touch of class for any kitchen as well as doing the job it was made to do. I recommend it for deign and quality of workmanship.
Really enjoyed having this kettle, it doesn’t come cheap, but it works so efficiently and isn’t too loud. The problem that I have is that it was meant to last forever if you read the marketing, however it’s broken down after 2.5 years. We changed the fuse just to make sure that wasn’t the issue but no luck. Let’s see what their customer service is like.Update: the kettle started working a day after changing the fuse. It could have been a safety feature that stopped it from working for a short while. Upgraded rating to 5 stars as we are very happy with the kettle.
I've wanted a dualit kettle ever since I bought my dualit toaster 5 years ago. Definitely a considered purchase as neither are inexpensive but I love the design and manufacture of these items and now have this to complete my kitchen.
Love this kettle. Expensive but well worth it. Lid doesn’t leak when pouring. Spout doesn’t overspill. Stays shiny.
Decided to pay extra few buckarinos to get a good quality kettle that won't leak BPA in everything I drink and contaminate it with a plasticky taste, and oh boy I wasn't disappointed. The kettle is classy, fairly silent and an instant eye catcher in a kitchen, its been even more of a pleasure to make tea with this one.I can only recommend and have no downsides to talk about on this product.
Really well built, fast boil, and keeps warm for long periods.
Might be more expensive than some on the market but this is a very classy looking kettle. It's relatively quiet compared to my old delonghi and boils a litre of water quite quickly - maybe slightly slower than the marketing would suggest, but it's marginal. All-in-all I'm very pleased with it.
So far I am very happy with my purchase. The kettle does what it says on the tin, i.e. boils water. But it is the quality feel of the product that makes it for me. Looks stylish in my opinion too, as well as having some good safety features, e.g. it switches itself off when you remove it from its base, which I have not had before with other kettles I have bought. Have had it for a limited time so cannot pass any comment as regards longevity. I was a little worried about opening the lid immediately after boiling water in terms of possible burns, but I have not had any issues to worry about to date. (As with any hot product you just need approach things with relevant caution). It is definitely the quietest kettle whilst boiling that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Overall I am super happy with my purchase👍🏼👍🏼.
I’ve been putting off buying this kettle due to the premium price tag. I purchased the Dualit classic toaster more than 20 years ago! but have continued to go through many cheap brand kettles, usually noisy and flimsy. This kettle is in a class of it’s own; quiet fast boil, sturdy build quality, premium materials and the best part is the spout does not drip! I expect with correct de-scaling care it will serve well for a few years. It looks great on the worktop next to my old toaster. Very happy that I took the plunge for this premium brand.
Great stylish kettle
Not as quiet as I was lead to believe, but much better than our previous kettle. Excellent to pour from, good boil speed, and great cut off once at boiling point. It is a very good kettle, but expensive, if it lasts longer than a year in a very hard water area, then maybe it will start being worth it.
Wow, proper Dualit quailty.Expensive for something that only boils water, but worth the money in my opinion.Finish is really excellent, looks every bit as good as the photos.Boils quickly, pours well with no drips at all. The spout is quite narrow, so you don't get a great gush of boiling water out; it's a steady pour rather than a deluge, which I like. This is advertised as being a very quiet kettle, but I wouldn't buy it solely on that claim- to my ears it's not much quieter than any many others. One great thing - it's repairable. Should there be a problem years down the line (I'm not expecting any, but you never know), Dualit design their stuff so that they can repair it if need be. I like that. I could have bought a cheap kettle that if broke would end up in landfill. As far as I know, Dualit are a British company that have been round for many decades. I've had a 2-slice Dualit toaster for twenty odd years, which is still going strong and with a polish looks as good as new.
Great quality, easy to clean, boils fast.
Excellent, very good quality easy to use, pours well.
It seems a little silly to get so animated about a kettle but here we go…..I was looking to replace my Delonghi kettle which had lasted an impressive 15 years, and though I was happy to get another one, this Dualit caught my eye in my search and I’m very grateful it did. My husband’s forever telling me that I buy things that look great but don’t serve the purpose, but with this Dualit even he would admit that you definitely get the best of both worlds - aesthetically pleasing AND a damn good product! I love that it has the cup gauge on the side (I definitely use less water when filling it now), I love the flip lid (it was always a bit of a fight to pull the lid off my old Delonghi), I love how sturdy it feels (not heavy, just that satisfying sturdiness that comes with a quality product), I love the spout design (I know, I know, it’s just a spout, but this one just makes pouring so…well….tidy), I love that it’s Bpa free (husband couldn’t give a monkey’s but I’m in to that sort of thing), I love the quietness, the quickness, the chrome and copper - it looks utterly charming and I’m unashamed to say that it gives me a little bit of joy every time I pick it up and use it. Oh and let’s not forget that it’s made by a British company. So all in all what I’m trying to get across is it’s well worth the investment. Now I’m off to make a cup of tea…
Fed up buying cheap replacement foreign manufactured electric kettles so decided to go top range made in Britain. Very very pleased with this product, worth every penny, went on to buy their toaster. However be aware only certain of their models are manufactured in UK so check. An A*************product.
A beautiful stunningly designed kettle available in chrome with a different coloured metal strip at the base. I chose a copper stripe. The lid is attached easy to open. Fast boil. BPA FREE. Dualit's Whisper Boil very quiet. A lovely pourer no drips. A sturdy on/off switch. The kettle is a good weight & the base so will not get knocked over. A measure on both side of the kettle one side in litres the other in cups.I also bought a matching copper Dualit 4 slot toaster also available as a 2 slot excellent quality the best toast I have tasted
At this risk of sounding ridiculous (considering this is just a kitchen appliance!) this is a beautiful kettle - it feels solid, is well-designed and is good-looking. While it isn't whisper quiet, I don't think I have ever found a kettle which actually is so I was prepared for some noise. That said, it is way quieter than a number of kettles I have previously owned. I haven't had any issues with the lid sticking as per other reviews but I did see on the card which came in the box that you can easily adjust the little tabs inside the lid to either make it tighter or looser. For me, the key selling feature was the replaceable element - ultimately I was looking to never have to buy a new kettle again, just replace out the element as required. I have done the same with my Dualit toaster - it's 20 years old now and has had a couple of elements replaced but I'm fine with that as I'd prefer not to have to landfill old broken appliances every few years as something breaks.
Bought to replace our older Dualit that we have had for ten years because whilst still working well it is looking tired and of course styles change. This one taps into the latest style of using copper for a bit of added retro look, which I rather like. There is a sort of 'industrial,' look about it that is a bit steam punk in its execution. In use it boils very fast and most noticeably - or rather not - very quietly. So much so that you have to be standing right by it to hear it. The lid is a bit stiff to open which I'm sure will ease over time but when it is open the top is clear for filling with an easily read level gauge down the side.If I do have a niggle then it is the manufacturing of this. It's not cheap for a kettle and yet whilst Dualit proudly brandishes the 'Designed and Engineered in Britian,' tag lines everywhere, the reality is that this is not made in the UK. It is made like most things overseas in some low labour cost country. And if this only cost twenty quid then fair enough but when you are forking out close on £120 then I fail to see how there isn't enough slack in that price to enable UK manufacturing to still allow a decent profit to be made. This is a real bugbear with me when 'traditional,' British companies play on their Britishness and charge accordingly yet are actually selling you stuff made in the Far East.Anyway, rant over, the actual product is well made, stylish and works very well. But pricey.
I've wanted one of these (and the matching toaster) for ages. Took the plunge and forked out for the most expensive kettle I've ever owned.Practically speaking, it performs as well as any other quality kettle. It's quite fast, quite quiet and safe to pick up whilst full of hot water, as the handle remains cool enough to touch. What sets this apart, for me at least, are the classic looks, the flask-like construction that keeps boiled water warm, and the accurate pour. You do however, need to tip the kettle quite far to get the water out.I hope and expect that this is the last kettle that I ever need to buy, and while I own it, I will smile whilst admiring my investment.
Worth spending a bit more to get a repairable, quality product like this. One unexpected bonus in moving from a glass kettle in our hard water area, is that the Dualit has almost zero limescale after 3 months, whereas we had to descale our previous kettle weekly. Now saving up for the matching legendary toaster!
Great kettle, very quiet and looks good. Arrived next day and in good condition.
