Finally a toaster that does what it says 👍It does do the perfect toast and its british made in crawley sussex we watched inside the factory about warburtons bread factory & saw how the bread and toasters were made ,Best toaster ive ever bought 👍👍
This is a dual slot toaster, each slot is 35 mm wide and slightly more that 130 mm long, so will accommodate a wide variety of bread sizes. Toasting is started by pulling down the lever on the front of the toaster, the lever can be raised to check browning or released early by pressing the centre of the timing dial. My only critic of the toaster is that the timing is not specific check points but each time is in a range, so 2 is a wide band from 1 to 3, wifey and I thus can only say roughly where the dial is set, this is confusing, “Where have you set it dear” (we are polite at breakfast) “Oh, near the three”. “I’m not sure what you mean, have you set it at two or three?”. And so it continues da de dah.But is looks good and does a goodly nice toasting.

Compact, lightweight, quick & easy to use. Crumb tray looks a bit small. Otherwise no problems.
Gutted when my old Magimix gave up. Already had the Dualit classic kettle but wasn’t paying the high price of a matching toaster. I love my kettle, it’s so good so hoped this was up to the same standard. It really is. It’s so quiet when popping up. You can raise during toasting to see if it’s okay without effecting setting. It’s extremely fast! I’m so pleased I chose this one. It ticks all my boxes. So easy to clean too.
A well-designed Toaster with pull up if required
I bought this toaster over 8 years ago and it's still working perfectly. They're a bit pricey compared to other toasters but it's lasted well. The peak feature is very useful

I write this 3 years on from buying and my house is a tea loving toast home and this AMAZING toaster and it's partner kettle is beyond brilliant, I will NEVER EVER but any other make than this, so many kettles and toasters bought and exhausted put and in the recycling pile but these items are sturdy. Stylish, easy to clean big time, quiet and so easy to use, honestly I cannot recommend more highly!!!!!!
Wanted one for a while having got fed up with cheaper makes that only cook 1/2 of 1 side. Much better more consistant toasting even browning. much quicker. I'm happy!
Well we bought the kettle and the wife said we need a matching toaster -her wish was my command.The Dualit Architect 4 slice toaster is well made and looks great. Time will tell on its reliability but what we have seen and used it for to date we have been well pleased. Again as with the kettle not the cheapest to buy but you do get what you pay for and it is very solid.
This is not my first Dualit toaster. I got this with the kettle at the same time. I will warn you know this is a big toaster. You can cut thick bread and it bakes the bread perfectly and evenly. But as with all new toasters it does take some getting used to to know what the perfect settings are. Because no 2 loaves of bread are the same, one might be a little doughy or damp from being in the fridge and the other might be crispy and hard. So you have to use trial and error for the couple of times you use the toaster. I find that 6.5 does the perfect toasting but it depends on the thickness of the bread you are using. One thing I will say it to make sure that you Unplug after use just in case of accidental pushing down the leaver. Again brilliant toaster from the masters of German appliences Dualit.Pro. Amazing toaster. Positive controls/knobs/buttons etc give a quality feel that you expect from a £100+ toaster!Quick to toast 4 slices perfectly evenly and to identical levels of toastyness which is ideal. Yes it takes a few attempts to setIt up precisely but this is the only toaster I have used that when each side is set to the same level.... they toast at the same level; which is how it should be for a top end toaster.Then there's the bagel function.... I'll be honest; I thought a waste of time... just stick them under the grill like any normal person has done for the last 20 years and get on with it. Then I though what the heck they designed it for a reason so why not use it as intended. Sooooo much quicker and no grill pan to wash up. Perfectly toasty one side, perfectly warm and doughy the other.The crumb tray is easy to remove and wash.Love the fact you can change the end panels to match in decor, we have changed ours from stainless to yellow. Also other items in the 'Architect' range can be purchased to match.We have also purchased the sandwich toaster cages to fit. They hold the bread and fillings snugly so they don't fall out, another well thought out feature.Ultimately I think it's a fantastic bit of kit that has the options to personalise. It does what it should do and it does it well. Yes it is expensive for a toaster but for the quality I have experienced in comparison to our old one (micromark for about £60 5yrs ago) is well worth it.
The Only Toaster You‘ll Ever Need!After years of buying cheap toasters with variable results (including a smoke logged kitchen!) I decided that it would be worth getting one that would be reliable. The Dualit toaster isn’t cheap but it’s beautifully made (I watched the documentary featuring bread in the ‘In The Factory’ programme on BBC2 when they also visited the Dualit factory in Crawley in West Sussex where they’ve been made since the 1940s) and it works extremely well. Importantly the automatic adjusting bread slice opening in the toaster will take my home made bread slices and sliced rolls/buns and toasts them perfectly. Additionally, ‘the ‘pop up and check’ facility is ideal to check your toast’s progress is excellent. I wish I had bought one years ago! However, I was also then tempted to buy one of the Dualit sandwich toasters too…and this also works well with shop bought bread and home baked bread. Yes, the toaster is expensive compared to the cheap Chinese imports…but I think I’ve made a really good investment as well as good toast! Rob.

Toasts quickly and evenly every time. The peek-and-pop lever is a nice touch — simple, practical, no fuss. Solid build quality throughout. Dualit does what Dualit does, and does it well.

I was concerned by a few reviews that said the toaster broke or burned toast. We are only 1 week in -- so longevity still has to be tested! However, the toasting experience is wonderful. The toaster looks great -- very high quality and great design, with metal construction. The toasting levers feel very nice. It does pop up but also you can manually inspect it mid-toast. The actual toasting pattern is more like you get in hotels -- it seems "professional", rather than usual at home style toaster. I can imagine the burning is because this toaster is super powerful and a lot fo bread needs a low setting. We use a lot of gluten free bread, and it actually improves the flavor of this vs other toasters (which I am grateful for!) Most importantly, it is designed and made in Britain -- which we were prepared to pay for -- rather than the usual "made in China". I loved the video of the inventor and his family testing toasters - I was sold! And it is better than I expected (so far!)
I love this toaster looks great obviously strong and durable the main thing it’s quick not waiting 10 mins for toast , not really heard of this firm picked because British and glad I did I’ll be looking for more of there products .
