Really pleased had my bigger one for many years
I have wanted one of these (and the matching kettle) for the longest while. Finally decided to take the plunge and buy one. It isn't that it makes toast taste any better than a £10 plastic job from a supermarket, it is the elegance and iconic looks. I love it.A few words on the bread slots. If you buy ordinary bread, like Hovis, Warburtons etc. don't make the mistake that I did initially. If you stand the bread in the slot, the slice of bread will stand proud of the elements and leave a band of un-toasted bread at the top. Instead, lay the slice down horizontally in the slot to toast the entire slice.Additionally, if you toast more bread very shortly after another batch, be sure tom reduce the time a little from your normal time or the bread will burn, due to the element already being hot.Oh, and one more thing, if you toast burger buns or anything small, you should consider getting one of the cage thingies to avoid losing the bun inside the slot and having to dig it out.Happy toasting.
I’ve been wanting one of these for many years after I gave away my 4 slice version of this toaster as it was too large for my kitchen. Finally gotten around to buying the smaller 2 slice version at long last and I’m not disappointed.
