Great looking toaster - very heavy and well built. £125 but given I looked at some that seemed pretty flimsy in comparison for not much less money, I think this is an investmentStill to use it but I have had access to the this model before and they're very good, so I hope this lives up to my expectations. Delivered within 2 days of purchase and an added bonus is there isn't any plastic wrappers, which is more environmentally friendly.
So far so good. At the moment this is the best toaster we have ever had. No problem with timer or uneven toasting. Bread comes out nice and brown on both sides. Chilli pink is not a neon colour.
Great toaster.The clockwork timer units are fine but beware that like any clockwork unit they will break if turned the wrong way.On the plus side such parts are very easy to source and replace for Dualit (just match the coloured wires - I'm no electrician).As a consequence we are still using our great Dualit toaster after twelve years. I appreciate the fact that Dualit toasters are built to last and to be repaired in an age when many products are disposable.
I did not think that toasters could be too different but the Dualit Classic Toaster has changed my mind.The style is very nice, retro and looks and feels well built. I am not so crazy about the exposed screw heads, but I suppose that adds to the retro look. The other thing to note is in these pictures, they do not show you where the cord connects to the toaster. The cord comes out from the right side towards the back so it will always be seen poking out the side in view. Personally I think the cord should come out the back or the bottom so as not to be so visible.This toaster is all manual and does not pop up or ding when the heating cycle is finished and there is also a selector for 1 or 2 slices of toast.And the toast is the most even I have had.
So… we got this as a christmas gift last year from the father in law (as per a request put in by Mrs P). Did we request it based on a careful perusal of reviews? Did we request it based on friends’ experience of it being such a great toasting machine.Did we heck.It’s a classic piece of design.I mean, look at it. It’s beautiful. It is a functional, toasty, roasty, work of art.This is a design masterpiece.But…As a toaster, it’s ok. Well, it toasts bread well. It looks great, and the toast tastes great.But it’s not without it’s flaws. The slots aren’t as deep as they could be, so sometimes you get white topped toast unless you flip it midway. This would be resolved if they were a bit longer and you could put the bread in side-ways, but they’re not… so you can’t!We bought a couple of the wire framed toastie racks too. These are great, and ideal for making crunchy toasties, but again, the slots could do with being just a smidge wider for this – you end up having to really squish the bread to make it work.That said… would I swap it for a different toaster? No. Well… maybe I’d go for the all-chrome version, and maybe I’d go for the four slice, but no. This is the toaster I want welcoming me when I come downstairs for my morning tea and toast.The pullout crumb tray is utilitarian and works just perfectly. The timer, for me, works perfectly (I know others have had problems). The toaster is solid too. It would take a lot to break this, and even then, dualit probably have a spare part which would fix it there and then.This is way more than you probably want to spend on a toaster, but you’re not just buying a toaster, you’re buying a design icon.And this will be on my kitchen countertop until I’m too old to reach the kitchen countertop.Sometimes the heart rules the head.

I've found this classic design a joy to possess. I've just bought the sandwich maker which slots in and found that great as well. It's chunky, fun, and if you've got the money to spare then treat yourself.
I really like build quality and design. Color on picture doesn't actually match color in reality, but its easy to check it on their website. Price is now really good for this model. It's easy to clean.I'm happy with this purchase.

Cooks bread much better than the other toasters that I have had which is a nice bonus when you buy something expensive just because it looks great. Also has not stained when I have burnt the silver bit at the top like I have with other toasters. So all round win-win.
The price will put people off, but if you want a toaster to last a lifetime then Dualit is the way to go. The key for me is the fact that this is no popping mechanism which is what has gone wrong on the past 2 toasters I have had. Go on treat yourself.
Product is fine but the item was just in its box, no extra packing so everyone could see what it was. The outer of the box was split as if it has been kicked in. Hardly any packing in the box so it’s lucky it arrived ok.

This is an Ace toaster. I love the simple way it lowers the bread for toasting. None of those useless springs that most toasters have today and which become ineffective within weeks. Also I strongly favour being able to replace the elements when they need it. We need to get away from that 'throw away' society we have today. No wonder we have mountains of disused equipment to get rid of.
Brilliant toaster at a great price
I've had this toaster since December 2015 which I was lucky to purchase at a low price for £90.00 on Black Friday. I've always wanted to own a Dualit toaster and when I saw the price I decided to buy it. It makes fantastic toast, keeps it warm and with my recently purchased Dualit jug kettle, they both look good in the kitchen, some people may say it's a ridiculous amount of money for two small kitchen appliances, but I would rather spend a bit more for items that I hope will last for many years to come.
Great toaster, perfect toast! Pricey but worth it.
