Good solid classic toaster in which the elements can be replaced as and when necessary, ensuring so much less landfill and waste compared with toasters that cannot be repaired and are scrapped

My last one lasted 26 years ! And we had to say goodbye...very sad..but nothing lasts forever...my new one came 2 days ago, and we are still getting to know each other. But I have no dought it will be just as good as the last one....its a dualit !!!!

Yes it's much more expensive than run of the mill brands - but toasts really well. Three slots with ability to select whether one, two or all three are heated is really welcome as is the ability to buy spare elements, timeswitch etc. should the appliance needs repair in future.

It's a very good toaster and if I got it from there own website there would have been a long lead time and more money.But the amount of dust on the box indercated it has been on the shelf for a longtime.Handles most bread sizes, not advertised but if you set it to one slice and use the middle slot it can work on bagels (one side at a time).Only down side for me is that you need to take out the sandwich cage when using it as the bread lifter works on all 3 slots at the same time but this is a personal preference as it is used to much to keep putting it in the cupboard.

Yes, three might seem like an odd number of pieces of toast to make, but I love it. Normally I'll just make two, but three is perfect when I'm feeling greedy. I was expecting this toaster to be huge (I've used the four slice models before) but it fits nicely into my little kitchen. This new model has an improved selector switch for the number of slices required, now you're able to select 1, 2, or 3, which makes sense. Also, the matte black looks fantastic. I don't know if it's my imagination, but I swear my toast tastes better from this toaster!

Love the simple lift mechanism of Dualit toasters. .....just a lever that pivots so you can lift up the bread to see how it's doing! Love the clicking sound of the timer as well, because most toasters are silent and sometimes you forget you have put the toast on,.......not with this beauty though, because it quietly clicks away in the background reminding you to pay attention.Ours came with a sandwich cage which is absolutely brilliant.......so simple but makes the perfect toasted sandwich. ( Just remember to clean out the crumb tray after use!)Chrome is a tricky material to keep shiny but we have found a wipe over with a damp cloth followed by a very liberal rub with olive oil brings back the lustre.Love Dualit x

Received today, I cannot believe what a beautiful piece of workmanship this toaster is .Once set up I tried today at lunchtime, honestly I have never enjoyed a piece of toast so much

Decided to spend an extra few pounds to get a well build toaster - Since I really appreciate the build quality of a product.When it arrived I was pleased to see the build quality matched the earlier versions I've seen in different households.How does it toast?Well I'm not British and therefore my toasting manner may differ from the intended use, I use it to toast everything from Ciabatta to Rye bread mostly uneven hand cut pieces, this is no challenge for the toaster as long as you are aware of the limited width of the slots.Toasting bread in this device gives you quite an unique ability to create a golden crust still keeping the middle soft and moist, I simply love it.If anything needs to be critiqued I would argue for the quality of the selector and timer knob, they don't feel as good as the rest of the machine - but still consistent and easy to use.Cheers!

You might want a bigger one but this one covers most toast needs and toasties too!Sturdy, easy to clean out crumbs, easy to operate. Should last a lifetime so great value!

You have to pay for top quality.

This toaster looks very much like our previous one bought 25 years ago. A quality product that retains its looks. Easy to use producing the end results you want.There are cheaper options but if it is quality you seek dont look past it.

If you are thinking of buying this toaster, you will no doubt be doing a deal of soul-searching as I did. You'll canvass opinions, seek out on-line reviews and generally find ways of justifying what does seem an awful lot of money on a toaster! Well, je ne regrette rien!The build quality is superb and you know from the feel that you will have years of trouble-free service from this little beauty. It has the quality feel you would expect and it blows inferior brands clean out of the water. It's like the difference between driving a clapped-out Ford Fiesta and taking the wheel in a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.Supremely easy to use, there are no pop-up gimmicks, no snarled-up pieces of toast sliced too generously to fit in the slot and you cannot begin to put a price on the smug expression you'll adopt when making your breakfast! As for the toast, well fruited teacakes are our weakness and they come out well-browned on the 2 minute setting with the inside light and fluffy, not all dried-out and semi cremated as with this machine's predecessor.Grit your teeth, pay the money, and enjoy the Rolls Royce of the toaster world! You'll not regret it.

Dualit 2+1 Combi Toaster is a must for every kitchen.

Obviously it was an indulgence being more than twice the price of ‘ordinary’ toasters but having taken the plunge this has to be the best toaster out there! Bread is toasted very quickly and this means the outside is nice and crunchy but the inner bread is lovely and soft - the best toast I’ve ever tasted. It comes supplied with one cage for making toasted sandwiches and again this makes the best I’ve ever tasted. If you can afford the extra then believe me this is a fabulous machine - it looks great in stainless and I love the vintage look. Functionally it just works well - the bread size is quite wide and the element heats up so quickly unlike our last toaster that took ages to brown the bread. The timer is an old fashioned manual dial - superb ( I dislike the modern digital ones). All in all a great machine I can highly recommend and hope it is as robust as it appears - at least the parts are replaceable and each one has the makers name under it.

Had this toaster a while now. It’s a well made art deco style and so far we haven’t managed to burn anything. It’s a touch expensive but I’m expecting it to become a family heirloom and be working well beyond my years. It’s a far cry from the many throw away pop up units preceding it.

... but I just couldn't justify the cost. They are expensive right? Anyway, I caved in and bought one. I do not regret it one bit. They are just so well made and it looks great in my kitchen. The toasted sandwich tray is a real boone when you want something more filling but also quite quickly.Easy to clean. The Stainless Steel just buffs up so well. But I love the mechanical timer the most. Having that extra control over you morning toast is just great.

Dualit is such an iconic toaster. We like the 3 slot size as it is a good compromise for space on the work top. We also love that these can be repaired and all parts are available so we know it was last forever. Stainless steel finish looks amazing and a total classic toaster that works beautifully.

I've had one of these for 17 years and only needed to replace 2 elements in that time - it even survived a move to Poland. When finally a handle broke off the toasting cage (a month ago) I decided to buy a new toaster and donate my old one to a family member who always wanted one, but cannot get one in Poland. A new cage is only £12.50 to replace but we thought we'd do a good deed and also replace with a newer (silver painted) model. Nothing much has changed, but the newer version has updated elements, is hotter, takes a shorter time to toast, has a better timer and the openings are wider which is very sensible. Now I can toast my favourite Ciabatta rolls in one go rather than having to use the toasting cage for one half at a time.I can't recommend this toaster enough - it is simply wonderful engineering built to last for ages. After our older model was cleaned it looked brand new and I began to wonder why we'd bought a new one!!!!!Worth every penny - you won't be disappointed - get one now and find out how good toast can be!One recommendation is - it may not be worthwhile buying an all stainless steel version as it is, like all stainless steel, a pain to keep clean and shiny. Get the silver painted one - just as good and no heavy cleaning required - unless you want a trophy kitchen with accessories that are for show only :-)

This is a lovely looking toaster. Bought the 3 slice because it fits the space i have and also it is so good to have just one slice of toast without having a slot burning away needlessly.Had it 2 days and after conditioning it have used to make toast, crumpets and a toasted sandwich. When making toast you have to learn how to judge the settings - my first attempt gave different levels of browning but they were all different sizes and uneven slices. I did find though that even the lightly browned toast was still lovely and crisp on the surface. The toaster heats the bread so quickly it does crisp but doesn’t dry out. It is toast but not as I knew it before I got this. I thought I had an excellent toaster before - expensive and motorised lifting etc but it is not half as good as this Dualit.The sandwich cage supplied with this model is also genius to easily toast those small bit of bread at the end of the loaf. No more struggling to get it out of the toaster. It is therefore also ideal for muffins and also intend to produce excellent hot cross buns with it. For this though you need two sandwich cages and therefore I bought a second one. Which is expensive but so worth getting.The sandwiches toasted in these cages are really good and so quickly prepared. I am looking forward to testing these with wraps and pitta breads.All in all this is a brilliant beautiful bit of kit and would highly recommend people to purchase one if you enjoy your toast (but really this produces toast but not as we know it).
