Absolutely LOVE this Dualit 2 Slice Lite Toaster - a 2 slice option is perfect for me. It's very stylish and looks super-classy on my worktop, next to my new black and chrome kettle. It took a few attempts to get the correct shade of brown but now it toasts perfectly every time, albeit slightly stripy-looking. I've so far only tried it with different supermarket variations of Tiger bread and, so far, all sizes have fitted into the slots with no problems. It feels robust and the controls are easy to use. Some of the negative reviews did put me off and the price also caused me to wince, but as my old toaster lasted 30+ years (not Dualit), I figured I deserved a nice new classy-looking toaster! Very glad I ordered it and I hope it lasts me for many years to come.
Having previously had a Dualit Classic toaster which finally gave up the ghost I decided to try this one given that its nearly half the cost of a new Classic.Even though the sides are black hard plastic theres a good solid quality feel and no problems with attachment to the main steel body. Two independant levers on the front to pop up your toast to check it's progress without having to trip the timers off.The two browning timers are independent of each other handy if you like different levels of toasting. There are two other buttons on the front for defrosting and for doing bagels or buns.Theres a cable clip on each side ot the base so you can run the cable to the side most convenient to the power socket. On the rear at the base of the plastic is a handle underneath ... pull on this and the crumb tray pulls out. This design is much better than the Classic's ... larger and easier to handle.Overall can't fault it so far and looks great on the kitchen worktop.
Very happy with this toaster - copes well with muffins, frozen and normal toast loaf. The sandwich cages (not included in basic order) are also worth ordering if you like toasted sandwiches. There are cheaper toasters available but the Dualit design in black convinced me and it looks beautiful in my kitchen.Very happy with purchase.
My toaster arrived ahead of the expected time and I am really pleased with it. It works well and matches my black Dualit kettle.
love this dualit lite toaster for the reasons that it cooks really well and most importantly it cooks evenly when doing crumpets and all types of bread ie white, brown, sliced, unsliced thick thin etc it does the lot to perfection!it is very simple to use and does lovely toasties with the toasting rack which is an optional extra and well worth it,and is much better than those sandwich toasters no mess and better tasting.has 8 browning settings a defrost setting which i love and it works perfect.also has a bagel setting which i have not tried yet.one other thing, its the smartest and best looking toaster that i ever seen, and looks really sleek in black and good looking on the work top hence i have given it 5 ***** for all the reasons above and can recommend this toaster to all,and i think its worth the money!
Dualit 46205 4 Slot Lite Toaster in Black Finish My wife and I are very pleased with the purchase. The defrost facility works well and the bun/bagel setting is great. The wide slots easily accommodate the thickest slices of bread as well as bagel halves. On top of this it looks amazing.
Really like the look of this on my worktop. Very stylish looks good with my other black and chrome appliances.Of course if is very good at toasting too ! Dualit products are very good quality in my opinion.
Brilliant Dualit toaster. Looks very elegant - I have bought a fabulous metallic red and also a shiny black one for my son. Very safe to use - no burning. Bagel sized slot and bagel button, so bagel doesn't get stuck in slot and merrily burn. Expensive compared to others, but in view of beauty and safety, the best buy, by far.
Matches my black & chrome retro fridge, freezer & kettle - one happy lady
The Dualit 2 slice Lite is a great little toaster! I love everything about it. It has style and presence with its chrome and glossy black exterior and it makes toast just how I like it - an even all over golden….just. No heavy dark brown for me thanks. So easy to use…..there is a frozen button which I don’t use as I always cook toast from frozen anyway. One top thing I am happy with is that when the toast is ejected - the toaster itself switches off!Plus a very good booklet comes with it. Not a pamphlet or square of paper with unidentifiable pictures and print that hurts the eyes. No, a comprehensive booklet!I would highly recommend, no hesitation.
Nice toaster. It's a glossier black than the photo suggests and looks great. More importantly, it's good to use. The slots are nice and wide, so no more swearing as I try to recover my slice of toast from the old, crappy toaster we had. That's worth the money we paid on its own. Ask my girlfriend.
