Very good quality Rangemaster Classic Kettle, it's a burgundy red colour and looks so nice in our kitchen, I love the cosy cottage feel of it. It's got a standard 1.7 litre and has a quiet boil, it's a lot quieter than my current kettle. It's quicker to boil as well and when it comes to a cuppa tea then quicker the better. To fill it you lift off the lid under the handle and it's got a clear measure gauge down the side to see what the water level is at. The only issue I have found with it so far is if I want to boil it then refill it straight away the steam comes out straight onto your hand as you are holding it under the tap, but I've been using it for 2 weeks now and I love it. The pour on the spout is absolutely perfect, no dripping or spillages.It's a big kettle it measures 28.9cm in height and it weights 1.6kg but it's not too heavy. You can tell by looking at it and using it that's it's a good quality and well made kettle I think it's definitely worth the price.
I am really pleased with the Rangemaster Classic kettle. The traditional styling is lovely, and the dark matte red with chrome accents looks very classy on the worktop. It has a generous 1.7L capacity and a powerful 3kW element, so it boils quickly without being overly noisy.The water level gauge is easy to read, and the simple on/off switch lights up blue when boiling, which is a nice touch. The lid pulls off rather than being hinged — it was a bit stiff at first, but I’m sure it will loosen up with use.The kettle feels solid and has a good weight to it, well‑made and has a real quality feel to it. Given the finish, styling and overall build, I think it’s good value for money. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it to others.
This showpiece kettle looks amazing at first glance, before common sense and practicalities sink in. The colour is described as "Bordeaux" and this is indeed accurate. It is a deeper shade of red than pictured in the listing. I would say it is a shade or two darker than wine red, or a cross between wine red and maroon. The appearance is diminished by the very large logo which appears on BOTH sides of the kettle. Given the size of the letters, this seems like overkill. It would have been enough to have it on one side. This is therefore a kettle for people who like to advertise brands very loudly.The kettle and the base were individually packed in chic branded storage bags of high quality. The kettle itself is lightweight, well made and feels surprisingly sturdy despite the low weight (easy to swing it about, even when full). The handle is the most comfortable I have ever held - and I have been through a LOT of kettles since my university days. The cover closes with a satisfyingly premium clunk. The kettle is quite bulky despite having a capacity under 2 litres.It is difficult to read the water level due to how dark the window is. I actually shone a torch at the water window despite it being in broad daylight and my standing at the sink in front of a very large, high window. The spout is truly spill-free /drip-free). Not once did I need to wipe the spout after pouring.It takes exactly 3 minutes and 30 seconds to bring the full capacity of the kettle to boil. I don't consider this to be fast. In fact, in a side-by-side comparison, my 2.2 kW kettle boiled the same amount of water over a minute faster. The Rangemaster kettle is not double-walled, so the outside does get quite warm. This also means that you would be best advised to have a flask to hand so as to decant it right away. Otherwise, you will need to keep switching the kettle on to re-boil the water. The switch is very light and is the only part of the kettle which genuinely feels flimsy and fiddly.Which brings me to the matter of cleaning. The outside is easy to clean as all it needs is a quick wipe. However, I'll admit that I gasped when I looked inside, and you will understand what I mean if you live in a hard water area. There are so many small fittings inside this kettle to which limescale will CLING that I was dismayed. I had seriously assumed that this kettle would have been more streamlined inside. The other thing is that the base of the spout will also eventually get limescale around it the longer the kettle is used, because it is joined to the body at that point, not moulded as part of the body. You will literally need to be descaling this kettle each week to maintain it in the pristine condition in which it arrived. Too much hassle in my opinion.This kettle would have been SO much more impressive had it been totally smooth inside to facilitate ease of cleaning. Had it been double-walled then I would definitely have said that it was worth the £99.00 price tag. As it is, this kettle gets 3 stars for performance and design and overall 4 for presence. It is still way overpriced for what it is: £69.99 would be a fair price considering the brand, and indeed, is already on sale at this lower price.
This is a superb quality kettle and easily the best kettle we've tried. From the moment you unpack it, you can tell it’s a premium product. It comes very well presented, with the kettle and base each protected in their own drawstring bags, which adds to the overall high-end feel.The build quality is excellent; it feels solid, durable, and very well made. The design is classic and stylish, and it looks far more expensive than a standard kettle. The soft-grip handle is comfortable, the water gauge is clear and easy to read, and the internal markers for one and two cups are a thoughtful addition (although these are only visible when you open the lid).Performance-wise, it’s perfect. It boils quickly and, importantly, very quietly. The pouring action is particularly impressive; this is the first kettle we’ve used that pours cleanly without dripping, which makes a big difference in everyday use.There is a generous capacity, and features like the removable limescale filter and boil-dry protection add to the practicality.One thing to be aware of, and this is more of a personal observation than a criticism, is that this kettle has a noticeable weight to it. Compared to a lightweight plastic jug kettle, it feels much more substantial. For us, this made it a little harder to handle, especially when pouring smaller amounts of water where you need to tilt it further. That said, others may actually prefer this solid, sturdy feel, and it certainly reflects the quality of the build.Overall, this is a beautifully made, high-performing kettle with a premium feel throughout. If you like a traditional-style kettle with a top-handle design, this is an excellent choice.
This is a really lovely kettle, lovely colour and good quality.I like it so much that I went back and got the matching toaster. I'm now wondering if they have anything else in this range for me to buy, and try persuade my hubby to let me get the cooker the cooker 😁🤞🏻
Mum loves it as it matches her cooker, a good bit pricey but it is well made. It is quite heavy even when not full, keeps the heat for quite a while. It is not a rapid boil but it doesn’t take too long to boil.

I like the big side window and the cheeky little markers inside that stop me over-filling, plus the 360 base means the handle’s always pointing the right way when my left-handed wife grabs it. And the spout pours cleanly, no dribbles on the oak worktop.The build feels sturdy, and the boil is pretty quiet. For the quality of materials and speed, the price seems fair to me.
