This Russell Hobbs 4 slice toaster looks sleek and stylish that matches perfectly with my kitchen appliances. It has an independent dual controls which allows me to use either two slots or four slots depending on the demands. The dual controls also enable me to set up the browning level independently, so slot 1 and 2 can be toasted differently from slot 3 and 4. This function is convenient if your family members has different browning preferences. The high-lift function of the toaster allows safe retrieving smaller items without risk of burning fingers. Its reheat and defrost functions are handy if your have food stored in fridge or freezer. In addition, it can be easily cleaned thanks to its removable crumb tray.

I had originally bought a Dualit for more than double the price, but the toasting ability was not acceptable. So I returned it and tried this arguably less high-end product instead.Whilst it isn’t quite as solid or heavy, that doesn’t matter, as this toasts far and away better than the Dualit.No-one has complained about unevenly cooked toast. It copes with all thicknesses and bread sizes thus far. Looks very presentable on the worktop. We also opted for a coordinating Russell Hobbs kettle and that’s good too.
No issues with the toaster - it produces a good distribution of "burn" on the bread .The flip function is not as good as other toasters since it only raises the toast slightly and need an implement to get the toast out if still hot. The crumb tray is also a little strange since it does not slide off
