LOVE my kettle
I bought this quite a few months ago and I absolutely love this kettle it really makes me smile love the music playing and the LED lights very relaxing I highly recommend!
Really, really good the base at the bottom of the kettle is a thick rubber. The middle section of the kettle is a thick glass at the bottom base is a hard solid plastic and it lights up plays soft music. The temperature is extremely hot when boiled 10 out of 10 it’s the bestest kettle I’ve ever had if it breaks I’m so getting another kettle exactly the same as this 100% worth the money.

So happy with this! A little tricky to work out how to set up an all singing all dancing kettle 😅 there is a choice of music or none at all, the illumination is amazing. (Doesn’t flicker like my video it’s the camera!) looks amazing in the kitchen too, a real statement piece. It’s definitely a step up from my SMEG kettle.

Nice Russell Hobbs Calm Kettle 1.7LThe design is new and modern.The kettle is easy to use, with touch buttons on the white base for simple control.It offers a heating range of 40-100°C, which can be selected before the kettle starts (it has a memory function so you don't have to adjust it every time you turn it on).I appreciate the lighting and music background (5 smooth sounds). I would say it heats quickly and has a good capacity.I like how the lid opens, and it feels comfortable when pouring water.Overall, it's slightly expensive, but easy to clean and 100% stylish!

A very unique kettle from Russell Hobbs. I'm already quite a fan when it comes to their kettles, but hadn't come across anything quite like this before - a kettle designed to heat water quietly whilst playing soothing music and changing colour, various customisable features to choose from.I love the shape, the curved base, the traditional styling and the colouring, copper-tone with cream and frosted glass - it's certainly a uniquely styled, attractive eye-catching kettle. The ornate logo is a swirly R and H for Russell Hobbs.The kettle sits on a large base, so you'd have to make sure you have space for the base. There isn't an on/off switch, but an illuminated display which comes on when the water-filled kettle is placed on the base. The lid lifts very simply, by pushing the button in its centre, and it pours beautifully, cleanly and neatly, from a metal spout which has a removeable mesh filter just behind it.The temperature can be set to any temperature required, although the default is usefully set at 100°C. Having this choice is obviously great for those who like to make coffee at 90-96°C, but also if making Assam tea, or some herbal teas, hot squash ready to drink or any beverage which requires water at a specific temperature. I was able to try this out straight away (after boiling and rinsing twice) with some green tea which stipulates 80°C as its ideal hot water temperature (as per my little video). I've never had an actual kettle which does this before and it's a great idea. It's quite fascinating to watch the temperature gradually increasing, and heating can be stopped at any point during the process. Once boiled, the kettle will keep the water warm at the selected temperature for 15 minutes whilst playing the tune.When heating up, the kettle cycles through different colours, which is undoubtedly relaxing and a cool feature to have in a kettle. I have to confess to always having wanted a kettle which does this. Thankfully a watched kettle does boil, quickly and quietly in this case.The kettle plays sound. It makes a sound when switched on at the wall, a sing-song 4-note sound when water has reached the desired temperature, and one of 5 selectable sounds when boiling, which are designed to be soothing, in a meditative kind of way. The volume can be altered too, or the sound can be turned off if desired. Personally I'd prefer a classical option, perhaps piano or harp or some birdsong; a little more variation in sound choice would be more my cup of tea. There's also a demo mode where lights and music only, or just lights only, will play without boiling the kettle - for kitchen relaxation.It's certainly an interesting and attractive kettle, of the great quality you'd expect, which performs and functions extremely well. Really pleased with our new Russell Hobbs calm kettle.
A house warming gift for my son. He is delighted with it! It is great value, works as described with optional gentle music and lights. Variable temperature is a good feature, and looks very elegant on the counter. Easy to use. I would highly recommend if you want an interesting kettle!

This kettle has been in my wish list for months. The reconditioned kettle is perfect & I am delighted. Making the first brew of the day as the sun rises and the kettle gently serenades with calming lights just makes the mornings that much better. Being able to boil to different temperatures is a cost effective feature.

The quality is very good. It boils the water quickly to my desired temperature. I don’t usually like music on the electronic devices, but I loved this one and it’s so cool.
This kettle is amazing very quiet even with the music. looks so elegant.nice and light no spillage at the sides.filter works very well a bit pricey but worth it.
Just as beautiful as I saw in my friend’s home. Melodic sounds. Range of temperatures, great for specialist tea. Colour changing. As a kettle it’s a fabulous gadget. Rather expensive for a kettle but it’s more than a kettle.
I almost never leave product reviews. This is my exception! It’s pricey, but, worth every penny. This kettle just makes me happy! It’s lovely design is pleasing to the eye, it’s so pretty just as it is, yet lights up beautifully as it boils and AND plays the most relaxing tunes as it boils. You can turn the music off if you so wish, but I have no idea why you would. You can choose the temperature to boil at. And it even has a keep warm setting! I love this kettle so much, it’s made a sad woman very happy.
I am not totally sure why Russell Hobbs (RH) felt the kettle market needed a musical kettle with different lighting colouration.I was therefore a little amused when setting the product up, my wife also felt this product was going to be a pure gimic and I had to agree.On setting up the product I realised that this product was not a gimic but a wonderfully well built product.The base unit alone is quite large and offers a solid and sturdy base unit. The kettle will boil 1.7L, the boil speed is quicker than my previous RH kettle and the best part is that the kettle has a keep warm feature, ideal for working at home and instant hot water.The kettle has 5 musical options and I have to say it is much more entertaining listening to soothing music and watching the kettle carefully cycle through various different colours and looks genuinely amazing boiling the kettle late at night in the dark.I have been completely won over by this product, and it is a major focal point of the kitchen dynamic as visitors love this product.Recommended.
