We bought a new kettle from this range and so our old Russell Hobbs toaster had to be retired after over 10 years of service (one side had recently failed to stay down) and we bought this one to match the kettle.It's much nicer than the old Russell Hobbs toaster, and it works really well. The calibration between the two halves is spot on - if you press them both down at the same time on the same setting, they pop up within a second of each other.Also looks very stylish with the gradient blue colouring. Very pleased with the purchase!

A large four slice toaster which comes in a beautiful two tone finish of either midnight blue or Copper Sunset. The retro levers and buttons as well as the styling gives this a lovely art deco styling a modern twist which ensures this will look great in any kitchen.Each pair of slots operate independently so you can use this just as easily as tow or four slice toaster. All the usual features you would expect cancel, reheat and defrost as well as two independent browning controls in the form of sliders. The Lift and look feature enables checking toast without canceling and restarting the toast cycle. Two separate crumb trays one for each pair of toasting slots to aid easy cleaning of the toaster. The only concern is as this is a four slice toaster its quite large so takes up a fair amount of worktop space.Overall a well made practical and very attractive design, needs a decent amount of space.

I'm reviewing the Russell Hobbs 25141 Eclipse Polished Stainless Steel and Midnight Blue Ombre Four Slice Toaster - here are my thoughts:This range portrays the Eclipse effect when the sun and moon are aligned, which means the blue ombre colour is darker at the bottom and fades gradually as you get to the top of the toaster - it's actually quite a nice effect and really stands out on my kitchen counter.The Eclipse blue toaster offers up to 55 percent faster toasting and I can vouch for this, it is much quicker than speeds I am normally use to. I also love that the four slots are extra-wide. You can also brown either two or four slices at the same time.Overall it's a great toaster, fast with some great features like two crumb trays not just one. Or none in some cases!

Shame the blue one wasn't in stock but this looks lovely in my kitchen. Sometimes the slide won't click at the bottom but it's usually just from me being lazy and sliding it down too fast. Either way, it cooks bread perfectly all round and I love that I can do 4 pieces at once.
