Very pleased with this so far. The lid operates easily and opens fully so that it’s easy to see the cup markers (in red plastic) inside. Similarly, it’s easy to see how full the kettle is from the outside. When it’s on there’s a blue light for the water. It boils quickly and the noise level is acceptable. The appearance is simple and clean. Some report that the kettle wobbles but we’ve not found this. It has a free extra year’s warranty. Worth buying.

Sunday 2pm our 5 year old kettle failed. Ordered an identical replacement as the failed one had been very reliable at 3 pm. Item was delivered to rural Gloucestershire that same Sunday evening by around 8pm!! Unexpected, even from Prime but very welcome.
Purchased a while ago and the kettle works fine.It is light enough for elderly mum.Good size, she happy so I am happy.Looks nice in the kitchen.
Good kettle looks good
To be honest, despite the rave reviews, I wasn’t really expecting much from a kettle in this price range , but I was wrong!1)First, I have arthritis in my hands and wrists, and most kettle are heavy when empty….this is light and so no problem for me. 2) Also if I’m talking on the phone, I often have to turn the kettle off to hear clearly, but no so with this little winner. It’s as quiet as any kettle could be 3) and also boils fast. 4)The markings for litre measurements etc is also very clear 5) and it looks very attractive on my worktop. I’ve had it now about 4 weeks and use it several times a day and so far, it’s great. 6) And the lid comes up quite high so it’s easy to fill it from the tap. If there’s one minor quibble, the electric cord is very stiff and a bit shorter than I’m used to but it’s not a serious issue if you have well placed electric sockets.
This is fine - looks good, works well, lid opens to provide a good opening, pleasant bluish light when on.I would have made it 5 stars but for the peculiar design choice which puts the window behind the handle making the level indicators very difficult to read. I usually judge by weight, but if these markers are important to you, I suggest you consider an alternative design.
This is our fourth one of these, actually the first 3 were the smooth finish outside but the product is basically the same otherwise. I suppose that does mean they only last about 2yrs but then we probably use it 5 times a day, at least. Having tried glass, stainless steel and other plastic kettles, this design seems perfect to me. The kettle lights up with a pleasing blue LED light so you know it is on. It is quick and not too noisy but I have yet to encounter a whisper quiet kettle and this is not one either. It is a plastic finish and this means the outside of the kettle does not seem to get too hot and is easily wiped clean. The level viewing window is clear enough and it is easy to see the water level. The kettle is easy to fill, either by flipping the lid or via the spout. It pours well. The only downside is that the fine plastic mesh filter on the spout does break after a while but you can get replacements and I think the same problem applies to all kettles unless of course they do not have a filter at all.Stainless steel kettles get too hot I think. Glass kettles look good but they also get hot and are heavy and if you live in a hard water area then the water just looks horrible anyway. Stainless and glass kettles are also more expensive so you pay more for a less good outcome in my opinion.Some kettles I have bought had a strange taste to the water. This kettle does not.Also, this one really looks quite smart although beauty is of course in the eye of the beholder and kettles are only an everyday item. Still, good design deserves a mention.
