I ordered this kettle as a replacement for my old one which has seen better days. This one is in black with a hexagonal design and it looks very smart. It is also available in white and cream.More importantly, this 1.7L kettle has all the essential features required. It is rapid boil, which is something that I have become used to so couldn’t really go back to the old ways. It is easy to refill with one hand with the flip top lid just by pressing the button on the top. The 360° rotating base facilitates picking up once boiled and the integrated cord makes it safe whilst looking neat and compact on the worktop.This reaches boiling point in no time - and quietly - then stops automatically.We live in a hard water area so the removable filter is essential as it needs to be cleaned frequently from the limescale build up.At £34.99 at the time of writing this review, I think it represents good value from a known and reputable brand, designed in the UK.

It feels sturdy and lightweight in the hand and does not feel cheap when you lift it to pour. Therapid boil is quick enough for busy mornings when I just want a cup of tea without waiting around.The flip top lid opens easily with one press and makes filling at the tap simple. I like the removable limescale filter as it helps keep the water clear and is easy to rinse under the tap. The 360 degree base is handy as I can place it down from any angle, which is useful when I am in a rush. The cord storage underneath keeps the counter tidy, though the kettle is a little louder than my previous one while boiling.
Fantastic. It is compact and looks brilliant on the kitchen counter with the black and chrome finish. Even though it looks a bit smaller than my last one, it still holds the full 1.7L and boils really quickly which is awesome when you are in a rush. The flip top lid works a treat and makes it simple to refill without any splashing. It is quite sturdy and the limescale filter is easy to remove for a quick clean. Only downside is it is a little louder than expected when it is at a full rolling boil, but it is over so fast that it doesn't really matter. Would recommend!
My partner has taken this Swan Hexton kettle to work for use in their small kitchenette to make hot drinks on breaks etc.It’s a standard size and holds 1.7L of water with an easily viewed water gauge on the side so you can quickly see how full up it is, although it is somewhat oddly placed beneath the handle but this does seem to be a common design with other similar kettles these days.It stands on a 360° base unit so can be turned around and picked up/placed down at any angle, the handle is large and comfortable to grip, the lid flips open for ease of filling and there is an integrated hard water filter in the spout that can be removed to clean.It boils pretty fast and quite quietly too, which is great for busy households, or in this case, a busy work environment, so no hanging about for that much needed brew.It looks good too, with the black pattern and chrome accents giving it a sleek and stylish look.It’s a decent kettle; it works fast and looks nice.
