It arrived well packed and protected within it's promised delivery date. It looks supreme in our kitchen and stands out, bare in mind it is only retro looking part that we have as everything is modern yet it fits perfectly due to it's shape and simplicity.Product is sturdy and well made, size is a bonus as you can fit two large size toast breads in there without a problem and even then you have space to add more of other products of a smaller size. Lid seals well and stays in place without any room for adjusement. Top of the lid small circle handle can be tightened by a screwdriver if it gets loose. It's quite shiny and we use table spray or surface sprays to clean it and haven't had any decolourisation as of yet. Price can be an issue for some but if you're thinking of buying something that is sturdy, looks great, has a lot of space and it'll last then you should think about this as more of an investment then expense! Had £10 tins or wooden expensive ones and this is the only product that I'm pleased about buying.
Excellent quality bread bin. Holds a lot.
Our bread was constantly going off too quickly as it was in a wall unit on a cold outside wall. Now use this & it’s ideal. Large enough for a family’s daily use, but doesn’t look like a suitcase sat on your worktop. Recommend.
Not the cheapest, but looks good in the kitchen!
This bread bin holds a lot more than you’d think. Mine currently has a cobb loaf, two packs of wraps, crumpets, English muffins and rolls, with room to spare. The retro look from Swan is very attractive and something from which I’ve collected a number of pieces. The quality is superb! Everything in this range is well made, great design and worth the money you pay.
Funnily enough I did not buy this to use as a bread bin.I wanted somewhere to corral kitchen devices such as a spiralizer, pineapple cutter, mandoline etc which were cluttering up my kitchen.This black box is 100% perfect and it looks so good too.It is of excellent quality and for me it has the added bonus of not having 'Bread' emblazoned on it.Admittedly it is more expensive than other options but imho it is well worth spending the extra because of its size, quality and really sleek look.I am so pleased with it that I am going to buy another black box for my bedroom and although they don't know it yet, some people are going to get 'black boxes' for Christmas.Seldom am I as delighted as this with an item I've bought.It is perfection.
This was a good purchase decision. Very roomy - I currently have two full size loaves of bread, a 9 pack of crumpets, a ciabatta loaf and a pack of toasting waffles in there! My old one was so small I ended up with bakery items sat in front of it on the worktop which looked messy, and this solves that problem. A great feature of it is the smooth underneath so you can slide it across your work surface without scratching it, essential if you have children that can't leave things where they are! Lid fits perfectly, and it is sealed so you don't have to worry about bugs flying in there when you have your doors open in the summer. Keeps bread fresh for longer which is great. Perfect for what I needed!

Fits in perfect, good quality. Good seal round the edge for lid to sit on and keep bread fresh. Good value for money.
This is essentially an oblong box with a lid. I t looks good with a hint of retro styling. I have other items that match, but I think it’s a nice thing on its own. It’s large enough to take a couple of loaves or packets of buns, bagels and the rest of it. Those things are quite quickly consumed in our house so I cannot comment whether the bread bin really keeps things fresh. Probably better than loose on the work-top. Crumbs do gather in the corners and where the sides meet the bottom but they wipe out easily and are easy to spot against the cream colour. It’s not particularly sturdy in the sense I don’t think it would stand much bashing about or dropping. However, it’s perfectly adequately sturdy for normal use as a bread in. I’m giving four stars, not five, as it’s hard to score five stars for a humble bread bin.
